Sheffield FC and Stocksbridgde park Steels must shrug off big losses

Club host in-form Prescott Cables at the home of football in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round intent on erasing the memory of Tuesday's 6-0 reversal against the Leicestershire outfit.

It was a surprise result with Gavin Smith side having gone into the game in good form having won four wins a drawn one of five outings.

Smith will now be looking for his players to show that the result was no more than a blip.

Prescott go into the tie on excellent form having won the last five on the spin which sees them second in the Evo Stik West Division having not lost in the league since a 2-1 away defeat at Trafford on the opening day of the season.

Stocksbridge will aim to get back on the winning trail tomorrow when they visit newly promoted Tadcaster Albion as they look to put last weekends disappointing 5-1 defeat at Loughborough behind them.

'We were awful,' said Steels boss Chris Hilton. 'They were the better team in the first half. There we're a few strong words were said at half-time and at the end of the game because that is not acceptable for Stocksbridge, our desire off the ball was the issue.'

Hilton hinted that there could be changes at Tadcaster and not in personnel but in style of play. 'We may have to sacrifice flair for hard work and graft. I didn't see the defeat coming at Loughborough coming but we have to react to it. We just seem to be something of a Jekyll and Hyde team at the moment.

'It will be a hard game at Tadcaster they're a good footballing and physical team. Thankfully we'll not be facing Joe (Lumsden) as he's out injured because he's a class player and a natural goal scorer, so that one thing less to worry about.

We know we're a bit light at centre-back. We're working hard an bringing in a centre-half and a central midfield player. We might throw in one of the youngsters at the back, we'll look at all are options in training but what we are really looking for is are reaction from the players.'

Tadcaster go into the game 14th in the East Division One, one-point and three places behind Stocksbridge with nine-points from eight games.

Frickley Athletic travel to mid-table Gresley FC where they will be hoping to rediscover their early season form. Spencer Fearn's side won the opening four matches but their form has been a little erratic over the past month, which has seen four defeats and just three victories in all competitions.
