SHEFFIELD came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Lincoln United in the Evo-Stik Division One South.

Mark Shaw’s side started lethargically but came back to dominate the second half and were unlucky not to have come away with a win. Club went behind on 29 mins when Matt Varley lost possession which allowed Callum Smith to fire home. Three minutes later and Lincoln doubled their advantage as Chris Funnell headed in unmarked from a Smith cross.

Sheffield pulled one back before the interval, Nathan Modest going past a defender inside the box to score with a crisp strike into the bottom corner. Club upped the tempo after the break and equalised on 70 mins when Coner Higginson finished off a good move.

Andy Gascoigne then fired a good chance over the crossbar, while in the last minute Dan Williams saw his header tipped over.

In the Premier Division, Worksop Town drew 0-0 at Rushall Olympic. The Tigers best opening of the first half came after just eight minutes when Mark Hudson ran onto a Luke Sharry ball but put his effort wide.

Worksop missed a glorious chance to take the lead on 54 mins when awarded a penalty after a foul on Jamie Jackson only Hudson to put his kick wide. Luke Shiels also cleared off the line to ensure the Tigers came away with a point.
