Stocksbridge Park Steels grabbed a priceless point with a late equaliser to earn a 3-3 draw against promotion chasing Witton Albion after the visitors had overturned a 2-1 half-time deficit to lead 3-2 with a couple of minutes remaining.

Matt Hamshaw gave Steels a ninth minute lead curling a delightful effort round the keeper from after being played in by Alex Callery.

The visitors hit back to equalise through Daniel Anderson’s clinical finish inside the far post.

But Stocksbridge regained the lead a minute before the break, Danny South with a neat flick from Chris Bettney’s cross sending the ball inside the back stick.

Darren Schofield’s men had chances to extend the lead after the break, the best of which fell to Callery but he headed wide.

Stocksbridge looked to have paid the price when Shaun Tuck volleyed home the equaliser on 69 minutes then Joshua Hancock’s fine 25 yard effort looked to have won it on 88 minutes.

However, in the final minute Callery struck a low shot through a crowded box to earn Steels a richly deserved share of the spoils.

A comprehensive 3-0 defeat against play-off hopefuls Halesowen Town saw Sheffield FC’s poor run of home form continue.

It left Club with just one win from the last seven league outings at Dronfield as boss Ian Whitehorne suffered his first defeat in four following a run of two wins and a draw on the road.

Division One South’s leading scorer Ben Haseley scored a hat-trick.

Sheffield went close with a Vill Powell header and a Richard Stirrup shot that flew narrowly wide.

Worksop Town crashed to a third straight league defeat after an excellent attacking display from title chasing Hednesford Town saw the visitors win 4-0 at Sandy Lane.

Gareth Grant’s 87th minute effort gave Buxton a 1-0 win at Ashton United, while Matlock Town beat Grantham Town 3-2 at home where Massiah McDonalds 42nd minute strike proved to be the winner.
