HALLAM came from a goal behind to beat the First Division’s in-form team AFC Emley 4-1 at Sandygate Road to stretch their unbeaten run to five games.

The visitors had won eight and drawn one of the last nine outings in league and cup and were in front inside the first three minutes. Ashley Flynn tucking away his 32nd goal of the season from the penalty spot after an innocuous trip on Steve Kenworthy.

But the Blues equalised through Aaron Moxam.

Both sides had chances in what was a thoroughly entertaining affair but it was Julian Watt’s men that went on to take the maximum points with three goals in six minutes.

From a 75th minute free-kick, substitute Liam Morris saw his header come back off the post but Adam Carter was on hand to slam home the rebound. Five minutes later another of the substitutes, James Cook, crossed for Morris to sweep home to make it 3-1. And a minute later Morris played in Carter to rifle home the fourth.

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic extended their unbeaten home league record to 12 games with a resounding 5-1 win over Grimsby Borough. Lee Garside and Scott Turner two minutes before the break put the Briggers in control.

Ryan Lait added the third on 62 minutes with Adam Podmore stretching the lead further four minutes later. Andy Taylor pulled one back for Grimsby but Lee Anthony tapped in a Chris White cross for the fifth a minute from time.

Dinnington Town shared the spoils for the third time in four games following a 2-2 home draw against Clipstone Welfare.
