Doncaster Rovers Belles are on the lookout for a goalkeeper and have offered a trial to a former Everton and England shot-stopper, the Free Press can reveal.
Ex-international Danielle Hill is understood to have been on manager Gordon Staniforth’s radar for some time and has experience of playing abroad with Norway’s Avaldsnes IL and IBV of Iceland.
The 25-year-old, who had two spells with Everton between 2003-08 and 2010-12, has also featured for Blackburn Rovers.
“We’re on the lookout for a goalkeeper and have had Dani Hill on trial with us,” Staniforth said.
“I’d also like to bring in another defender because we seem to be a bit light in that department, especially following a recent injury to our right back Dani Cox.”
n Meanwhile, Belles trio Beth England, Millie Bright and Jess Sigsworth have all travelled to Spain with the England under-23s squad for a warm weather training camp.
