Colley treble helps Town into quarters

EDLINGTON Town secured themselves a quarter-final slot by beating Adwick Park Rangers B 6-2 in their delayed Doncaster & District FA Challenge Cup second round tie.

Chris Colley led the way with a hat trick with Craig Dyson, Michael Brown and James Connor completing the scoring.

In the second semi-final of the Division One KO Cup, Hatfield Main ran out 3-0 winners away at Travellers.

Craig Miller, Kevin McEwan and Craig Taylor netted for Main, who will now meet ISG Doncaster in the final at Brodsworth MW ground on April 22nd (7pm).

In the Premier Division, AFC Sportsman Rovers continued their march towards the title with a 5-0 win over visiting Adwick Park Rangers A.

Paul Hemmingway grabbed a hat-trick for Rovers with Craig Haywood and Tobias Dwyer both chipping in with goals.

Sutton Rovers, who are 10 points behind, drew 1-1 with Rossington Main in midweek. Ryan Walker was the Sutton marksman with Dean Thornton replying for Main.

Rovers added to their tally with a 3-0 win away at Yorkshire Main on Saturday.

Leon Tarry, Walker and Darren Smith shared out the goals.

Kinsley Boys recorded a 1-0 win over Rossington Main.

Strikes by Alex Burton and Luke Whitfield for Swinton Station Athletic were not enough as South Kirkby Colliery A ran out 3-2 winners.

Bramley Sunnyside did their Division One title challenge a power of good with a 4-2 win away at second-placed Upton Brookside.

Carcroft Village were held to a 2-2 draw at Woodlands Rhinos. Joe Fisher and Shaun Mundy netted for Village with Chris Hancock and Tom Costello replying for Rhinos.

Hemsworth Town returned 5-0 victors from their trip to South Kirkby Colliery B.

Goals by Bartosz Prusak and Sabastian Borek secured ISG Doncaster a 2-2 draw with Hemsworth MW.

Ackworth United won 5-2 away at Bawtry Town Reserves. Dale Appleton and James Bouskill both bagged a brace with Stuart Gordon rounding off the scoring for United. Jermaine Stirling and James Tomlinson were on target for Town.
