Last weekend will long be remembered by our fans as our eight clubs enjoyed what will surely be the best this season.

Three F.A. Cup winners, only one cup and one league defeat, two hat tricks to savour and our fans turned out in droves to enjoy three days of F.A. Cup feasts.

This weekend sees all our clubs in league action for the first time this season.

In the Evo-Stik Division One South, Stocksbridge Park started in great form at Norton United and Nathan Joynes gave them a deserved lead.

However, within ten minutes of the restart Joynes became the villain when he was sent off and it cost Park three points, as Norton won 2-1 with a last minute winner.

On Tuesday they entertained Lincoln United and Park raced into a 13 minute two goal lead thanks to Joynes and Senior, but they then faded away badly and they can thank man of the match keeper Liam Flynn for a string of fine saves that gave them a very fortunate 2-0 victory.

On Saturday they face a tough test when Sutton Coldfield Town are the visitors and on Monday they travel to Brigg Town.

Sheffield FC got off to a great start when Joel Purkiss hit a first half goal then missed a penalty as they beat Market Drayton Town 1-0.

Then on Tuesday night they visited Goole with the home side running out 3-1 winners.

On Saturday they face a tough test away at a strong-looking Tividale side whilst next Monday they return to the Coach and Horses ground to entertain Rainworth Miners Welfare.

In the Toolstation North Counties East Leagues First Division Hallam were looking to open their account on Tuesday when they entertained Lincoln Moorlands but it was not to be as Lincoln won 3-0.

On Saturday Hallam travel to newcomers A.F.C. Mansfield.

In their first F.A. Cup tie ever, Handsworth Parramore cruised to a 5-1 home win over Oadby Town with Sam Smith hitting a hat trick as Nicky Travis and Lee Hill completed the rout.

On Saturday they entertain Barton Town.

In the F.A. Cup Preliminary Round to be played on Saturday August 30th the draw includes:- Basford United v SHEFFIELD F.C. Carlton Town v HANDSWORTH PARRAMORE, STOCKSBRIDGE PARK v Bamber Bridge .
