Newport County boss angry at Chesterfield postponement

Newport County boss Michael Flynn has described the late postponement of their fixture with Chesterfield a 'disgusting' decision.

The League Two fixture was postponed just after noon ahead of the 3pm kick off.

“It’s disgusting how late the decision was left,” he said.

“We were only 20 minutes from the ground and we’d paid for a meeting room in a hotel for our pre-match briefing.

“But it’s the fans I feel for because they were all on the road or on the trains.”

The match is likely to be rearranged for Tuesday, May 2.
