National League transfers: Stockport County sign top striker; Maidenhead sell forward to League Two club; Solihull Moors snap up goalkeeper

Stockport County

Have signed striker Liam McAlinden on a deal until the end of the season after his short-term contract at FC Halifax Town came to an end. The forward scored 10 goals in 28 games for The Shaymen.

Striker Jake Cassidy, 26, has been sold to League Two Stevenage. The forward only joined Maidenhead in the summer and scored five goals in 29 matches.

Solihull Moors

Have signed goalkeeper Andy Wycherley, 21, from AFC Telford on a permanent deal.

Torquay United

Liam McAlinden has left FC Halifax Town and joined Stockport County.

Boss Gary Johnson has said he wants to sign a striker as clubs continue to monitor top scorer Jamie Reid.

Wrexham

Defender Manny Smith, 31, has been forced to retire due to a serious knee injury.
