Rotherham United continued their successful sequence of pre-season results, defeating Bolton Wanderers at New York Stadium tonight.
Marvin Sordell gave Bolton the lead, tapping home after good work in the penalty area from Robert Hall after 42 minutes. But the Millers hit back on the hour, equalising through Alex Revell as he headed home a Ben Pringle cross at the far post. Daniel Nardiello calmly slots past Adam Bodgan from Pringle’s pass to make it 2-1 on 86 minutes.
Steve Evans was pitting his wits against fellow Scot Dougie Freedman as the MilDougie Freedman as the Millers aimed to carry on from their successful week in Scotland that saw them win two of their three games, and draw the other one.
Going into tonight the Millers were unbeaten in their four outings so far, but looked to be in for their toughest test yet against Bolton.
