Meadowhall League: Runaway leaders Jubilee extend lead at the top

Jubilee Rangers completed a quickfire league double over second-placed Brunsmeer Athletic to go 14 points clear at the top of the U21 Division.

Rangers followed up a 6-0 home victory the previous weekend to come away 5-3 winners to make it 12 without loss.

Fourth-placed Dearne & District saw their title hopes fade following a 2-1 home defeat against Woodman Juniors.

At the other end of the table Swallowest slipped to the bottom on goal difference after going down 5-1 at home against Mosborough, while Beighton Falcons and Steels City Dons shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw to leave all three teams on six points.

Stocksbridge Park Steels Yellow maintained their two-point lead at the top of the U18 Division One with a 3-1 away victory at Shaw Lane Aquaforce. Goals from Harry Shoulder, Brandon Whitfield and Luca Defalco securing an eighth win in ten for the visitors.

With two games in hand, second-placed Handsworth Amber kept the pressure firmly on beating Wath Stars to make it eight without defeat.

Swallownest Blue romped to a 8-1 win over Hallam Wisewood Black to boost their hopes of climbing off the bottom of the Division Two table. Archie Goddard bagged a hat-trick, Frazer Allerton hit two and Josiah Robinson and Jack Wood both notched aswell.

Sheffield United JB eased to a 3-0 away success at Redmires Rangers to extend their lead at the top of Division Three to seven points. Second-placed Wickersley Youth twice came from behind to salvage a point from a 2-2 draw with Brunsmeer Athletic Red.

Brunsmeer AFC kept their championship hopes alive beating bottom of the table Staveley MW Juniors 5-3.

Division Four leaders AFC Dronfield stretched their lead at the top to three point with a 2-0 home win over Brunsmeer Athletic Black while Sheffield North End climbed to second after romping to a 7-1 home win over Bramley Sunnyside.

Division Five leaders Newbold Community and Staincross Rangers played out a classic, with the game finishing 4-4. Second-placed Sheffield Park Rangers couldn’t take advantage as drew 1-1 at Greasborough Youth.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
