STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels drew 3-3 at fellow Evo-Stik Premier Division strugglers Whitby Town last night to move to within four points of safety.
Steels got off to a dream start taking the lead on six minutes through Brian Cusworth.
Whitby, who were without a win in eight at home, levelled thanks to a penalty from Mark Robinson and James Beadle made it 2-1 to the hosts with a speculative long range effort.
But Steels responded with Cusworth grabbing his second just before the half hour mark.
Two minutes into the second half the visitors had the lead once more when Jack Muldoon netted.
Steels had a let off when Whitby missed from the penalty spot midway through the half but Andy Appleby equlised with six minutes left.
Worksop Town came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Buxton while Staveley missed out on the chance to go second in the Baris NCEL Premier Division after being held at home by Brighouse Town.
