League One-bound club role 'still a job a lot of people want'
One of the sides joining Sheffield Wednesday in League One next season will not be short of applications for the manager’s job, according to the man who currently holds the role
Leicester City interim boss Gary Rowett is expecting the manager’s job at Leicester City to remain coveted, despite their drop into League One next season.

Leicester will join Sheffield Wednesday in the third tier next season, ten years after being crowned Premier League champions, with both the Foxes and the Owls suffering from issues off the pitch over the past few years.
Rowett was brought in, in a vain attempt to save Leicester from the drop but struggled to put fire into a squad that he admitted wasn’t up to a relegation battle. Up to now he has refused to speak about his future beyond the 14 games he was brought in for.
Now that the dust has settled somewhat on their drop into League One, Rowett, who has managed eight clubs in the EFL, has opened up a bit more about next season.
He told the BBC: "After the Bristol City game when people asked me if I'd stay, I said 'I'm here until the end of the season and that's my job'. I didn't want to focus on anything else.

"What I've said subsequently is when you've been part of this club, when you've seen this club, when you see the opportunity that I believe the club may have next season if they get some things right, of course you want to be part of that, of course you want to try and help and want to use your experience to be part of that."
He added: "I think it's a very different role from the start of the season, when you've had a transfer window. At the same time, I think it will be a job a lot of people will want. The club have to make the right decision for how they see the future looking.
"But I'm not going to sit here and try to put pressure on anyone. I've managed more than 600 games. If the club decide they want that type of manager moving forward, that's up to them. I'd also understand if they see it as a fresh start and a fresh opportunity to go in a different direction."
