Knights bid to keep up win record

DONCASTER Knights Rugby Union Club make two changes to their starting line-up in tomorrow's National League One clash at Nottingham - fly-half Mark Woodrow's former club.

An injury to Anthony Carter means a switch for Wes Davis to full-back, with Donavan Van Vuuren getting the nod on the wing. In the pack, a fit-again Scott Gray returns at flanker, with Ollie Cook dropping to the bench.

New signing Tom Luke is also in the squad for the first time and both Tom Davies and Ben Jones join him on the bench after several weeks on the sidelines.

Since losing at home to Moseley on the opening weekend of the season, Nottingham have won easily at Rotherham, beaten Bedford and lost last week by a single point at Plymouth.

“Tomorrow’’s game will easily be our toughest test so far this season and will provide a measurement of where we are and highlight the areas where we need to improve,” said director of rugby Lynn Howells.

“We have won our first four games and it would be great to go through the first month of the season with a 100 per cent record. Had somebody offered me five wins in our first five games at the start of the season I would have snapped their hand off.

“I have watched a couple of videos of Nottingham and they looked a well drilled and well organised side. They’ve got a big pack and look strong in their middle backs.
