John Pemberton provides injury update on Chesterfield defender Matt Tootle

The 29-year-old, who is on loan from Notts County until the end of the season, has been sidelined with an ankle injury since December 10.

Pemberton said: “He is not in full-time training with the group but he is back on the grass doing his running work.

“We have just got to be careful with him, it is something that has been a bit of a problem.

“We don’t want him coming in and breaking down.

“He is with the medical department on that. I am just being governed by them on where he is.”

He added: “I can’t give you a timescale of how long he will be.

“At the moment I have not really got him in the plans at the minute because I don’t know how long he will be out.”
