The Spireites caretaker boss has brought in Burnley defender Jordan Cropper and Notts County goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons on loan for the rest of the season so far.

Ideally he would like to add one more player to his squad, believed to be a striker, with forward Mike Fondop suspended for the next two matches.

When asked if there will be further signings, Pemberton said: "I think if the right person was available then I would go beg, steal or borrow to my owner to try and do it but we are waiting to see if there is any movement.

"Movement triggers movement so fingers crossed.

"I am not saying no, but I am not saying yes."

Right-back Cropper, 20, put in a solid display on his debut against Eastleigh on Saturday and Pemberton was impressed with what he saw.

"He responded really well,” Pemberton said.

"He is okay one v one.

"He does not get flustered.

"He has got a good temperament.

"Some of the crosses he put in the first-half were good."

Young centre-back Jamie Sharman made his first start of the season in the win last weekend and he is someone Pemberton thinks highly of.

He added: "I know his temperament.

"He just needs the exposure.

"He was a little bit naive at the start when he kept getting pinned and rolled but after he has sorted that out he was alright.

"I think Sharman will be a good player."
