How they rated - Chesterfield's individual performances in a topsy turvy game against Maidstone United

Chesterfield might have been 4-1 winners over Maidstone United but the scoreline wasn't exactly reflective of the game as a contest.

Town celebrating Barry's goal

Here's how the Spireites rated individually as they made it 30 points from 15 games under John Sheridan.

Joe Anyon - 6 - Distribution wasn't great, but the wind made life difficult. Exposed by defence and beaten in three one-on-one situations but only conceded once.
Will Evans - 7 - Steady enough showing. Most of Chesterfield's trouble came down the flanks, not through the middle.
Haydn Hollis - 6 - Dominant in the air but pace caused him a few problems.
Laurence Maguire - 6 - Scored a wonderful goal. Not at his best on the ball but made some telling interventions.
Brad Barry - 7 - Got forward and gave the Stones problems when he could, scored a goal albeit a fortuitous one. Yarney perhaps needed more protection, from Barry.

Ellis Chapman - 6 - Put several lovely crosses into the box, forced an own goal after great wing play. Great going forward, not as effective defensively.
Curtis Weston - 6 - Should have had at least one goal, squandered a couple of chances. Plenty of endeavour, if not the quality required on the ball.
Joe Rowley - 6 - Showed flashes of what he can do, but it wasn't up to the standards he's recently set.
Scott Boden - 7 - Came close to a hat-trick, denied by the post and defenders, before getting his customary goal. Stones struggled to contain him.
Tom Denton - 7 - Effective. Wasted a chance early on but set up Boden's goal with a trademark knock down in the area.
