Hatfield fail to dent Rossington’s 100 per cent start

ROSSINGTON Main maintained their 100 per record in the Doncaster Senior League with a 2-1 victory at Hatfield Main.

Shaun Nicholl and Matthew Brown scored for Rossington, with Hatfield reducing the arrears through Michael Eades.

Courtney Peynado and Tom Doherty were the Sutton Rovers’ marksmen in a 2-0 home win over Kinsley Boys.

South Elmsall United Services defeated reigning champions AFC Sportsman Rovers 4-0 to go top of the table following a fourth consecutive success.

Allan Fawley and Sam Corner secured Carcroft Village a 2-0 win at South Kirkby Colliery. Division One leaders Shafton Villa were held 2-2 at home by Hemsworth MW.

A 3-0 home win by Denaby United over Dunscroft United kept them a point behind. Ryan Oakley, Ryan Scott and Enzo Guarini shared out their goals.

HMP Moorland maintained their bright start with a 5-0 victory over Bawtry Town Reserves, Isiah Cardwell and Alex Booth both bagged a brace with Paul Benfield completing the nap hand.

An own goal helped Askern Athletic claim their first scalp with a 4-3 win at Scawthorpe and Bentley Rhinos. Robert Rowland notched a hat-trick, while Danny Porteous (2) and Jordan McCabe narrowed the gap. ISG Doncaster had a 2-0 success at Woodlands Rhinos, David Stanoch and Grzegorz Szczerba being their marksmen.
