The skilful Irishman put Town 1-0 up at Colchester a few minutes ago, sparking celebrations on social media from many Spireites.

Danny Wilson’s men last found the net on Tuesday 4th October in the EFL Trophy, five games ago.

A disbelieving Adam Hunt tweeted: “I think i’ve just seen a flying pig!”

Darryl Carpenter added: “The flood gates are finally open Wembley here we come COYBs.”

Russell Preston was short and to the point: “Hallelujah!!”

Reacting to the goal, Tom Clarke quipped: “What’s one of them??”

On Facebook, Ben Attenborough said: “Sorry.. a what?! A Goal?! Eell done O’Shea. Let’s put this bad luck behind us.”
