O’Shea’s strike was also Chesterfield’s first goal since 4th October.

Burly Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa got the winner as Wanderers knocked out former Spireites boss Paul Cook and his Portsmouth side on Saturday.

Wycombe haven’t won in Chesterfield since 2008.

They knocked Town out of the FA Cup in 1998, in the first round.

Reacting to the draw on Twitter, Spireites fan Craig Tinsley said: “At least it’s a home draw #winnable.”

Luke Oldfield added: “I’m just glad we’re playing at home for once in a cup.”

Wycombe fan Chris Thorn pondered: “Two Semi Finalists of the past 20yrs meeting in just the 2nd round of the FA Cup, must be a first?”

On Facebook Dave Martin said: “Great chance of progressing, decent draw.”

A delighted Alan Lee commented: “Great, couldn’t have picked a better draw myself.”

And Matthew Freeman hopes the tie goes with previous form: “We have a record of beating them at home and losing to them away, so lets hope we don’t draw and have to play them at their place.”
