Five-goal Fell stars for Canal

LAST season’s Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Championship winners Canal Tavern, posted a 6-4 win over FC Dunscroft.

Darren Fell helped himself to five of the goals with Ross Ebbage also netting. Sean Gorman, Paul Bradley, Luke Bainbridge and Chris Killgallon shared out the Dunscroft goals.

Hatfield Celtic romped to a 7-0 win over Stag Inn. Rhino’s (Dean Daffin 2, Daniel Wojcichowski) beat Social Bar (Ellis Donnelly, Liam Wilkin) by the odd goal in five.

Defending champions Athletico Tap Maker, for whom Andrew Brown, Chris Scott, Robert Allan and James Naylor netted, won 4-2 away at last season’s KO Cup winners Sprotbrough, whose consolation goals came from Jonathan Murfin and Kevin Severn.

Hawthorn (Mark Carter 2, Shane Isaac, Liam Osbourne) beat visiting Toll Bar (Johnny Wilson) 4-2 in their Championship clash.

Finningley Athletic (Peter Richardson 2, Peter Lindsay, Lewis Truman) collected a 4-2 win at Sportsman Inter Stella (Alex Doughal, Liam Taylor).

Stainforth lost 2-0 at home to Wheatsheaf - Tom Paddgett and Ricky Temporal doing the damage.

A Luke Rafferty brace helped Windmill edge a 4-3 win over Wheatley Hotel. Steve Munn and Michael Knight also chipped in with a goal with Chris Wood, Andrew Mellor and Dean Sedgewick replying.

Armthorpe Albion dished out a 3-1 Division One beating to South Kirkby Reds. Leger Lions were tamed by Balby Academy of Sport, who ran out 3-0 winners courtesy of goals by Kieran Ferguson (2) and Jordan Lewis.

Rosehill Press (Peter Stannard, Blake Wilson) notched a 2-1 win over Askern Railway (Owen Barker). Tap Maker (Tony Clough, Luke Horsley, Carl Horsley, Lee Peate) beat Auckley by the odd goal in seven.

Former Premier Division striker Lee Drobac notched a hat-trick Three Horseshoes United collected a 4-1 win over visiting FC Gatehouse. Jacob Hill also netted for the winners with Ryan Malee grabbing the Gatehouse consolation.

Tank charged to a 5-0 win at Wadworth Sports. Bessacarr and Armthorpe Village (Chris Passmore) battled out a 1-1 Division Two draw.

Liam Boiston scored the only goal of the game as Carcroft Village beat Hatfield Town 1-0. Rossington Legion ran up the highest score of the day - an 11-0 win at Hatfield Woodhouse.

Lee Pearce and Kieran Stables shared out the goals as White Hart Colts beat Maltings 2-0.FC Cumberland (Darren Erskine) lost 2-1 at Rossington United (Karl Lang).
