Ex-England U19s striker signs for Chesterfield FC

Striker Jordan Slew has signed a contract with Chesterfield until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old former Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers man was unattached after leaving Cambridge United at the start of February.

Spireites manager Danny Wilson said: “Jordan was unattached and he’s been training with us for a few weeks.

“I’ve known him since his young days and I know what he’s capable of doing, so from that point of view, it was a no-brainer to bring him in on a deal until the end of the season.

“It’s down to him to prove that he’s worthy of a contract.”

Slew, who has represented England at under-19s level, will wear the number 32 for Chesterfield.
