England footballers' former schools send messages of support for Euro 2020 to Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Football-loving Sheffield youngsters from the former schools of our England stars have been sending message of support to the team ahead of Sunday’s match against Croatia.
Youngsters from Malin Bridge Primary and Porter Croft schools were flying the flag for the England team – especially Sheffield lads Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The Three Lions kick off their Euro 2020 campaign with a group match against Croatia in front of 22,500 home fans at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin says his team-mates realise the potential of what they can do for the country.
“It has been a very difficult period of time for everybody and us as England players and England representatives have the opportunity to uplift the nation,” the former Sheffield United player said on England’s YouTube show the Lions’ Den.
“Everyone loves the football and loves to watch England in the Euros and in competition. It is down to us to spread that joy and happiness.”
