Dragons playing host to German visitors

DONCASTER Dragons are playing host to a touring team from Berlin at Castle Park on Friday at 7.30pm.

Entry is free and the Arms Park bar will be open from 7pm to 1am with free entertainment and a free buffet after 9pm in what is planned to be a "traditional rugby evening".

The Dragons are the veteran's team of Doncaster Rugby Union Club and offer the chance for players aged 35+ to continue to play the 15-a-side game.

The Dragons' commitment to Rugby For All is positively promoted and any player with boots, shorts and the inclination to play gets a game.

"The initiative was to provide a form of the game where the overriding culture was to have fun, both on and off the field, However, this ethos by no means dilutes the competitiveness and quality of rugby displayed by the former Doncaster senior teams players turning out regularly on a Saturday afternoon," said club media manager Allan MacGregor.
