Danny Andrew could be back involved with Doncaster Rovers' senior squad as early as this weekend, Darren Ferguson has revealed.
The left back has been out of action since August following a cruciate ligament injury which initially threatened to rule him out for the entire campaign.
But after playing his first 45 minutes last week since his injury, boss Ferguson feels Andrew may be ready to play some part in Saturday's trip to Oldham Athletic.
"We're going to have an in-house game tomorrow which will just be the kids and the senior players that aren't in the squad for the Blackburn game that night," Ferguson said.
"We'll give Danny 75 minutes in that and if he gets through that, which I'm sure he will be fine in because the boy looks good, then there's a possibility he will be involved for the Oldham game."
Andrew played the first half of a Development Squad game at Mansfield Town last Tuesday and said afterwards he hoped to receive some time with the senior team before the end of the season.
