Loan hitman Billy Sharp has hinted that he would sign for Doncaster Rovers on a permanent deal next season as he searches for “settled” football.
Fans’ favourite Sharp has netted four goals in 14 games since returning to the Keepmoat Stadium on loan until the end of the season - and the 28-year-old is craving stability.
“Nothing’s been mentioned at the minute, but it would always be an option,” revealed Sharp.
“I had a successful spell when I was on loan at Doncaster the last time and then I signed for the club.
“I had a few bad times off the field, but the fans stuck with me and I will always be grateful for that.”
