Doncaster Rovers fans are in confident mood about next season.

However, the vast majority of supporters who took part in our annual Rovers survey have stressed the need for further squad strengthening.

Roughly one in two respondents (52.2%) believe Rovers will end up in a play-off position at the end of next season.

Just 2.2% think Doncaster have what it takes to go up as champions, while 6.1% believe Paul Dickov’s men can achieve automatic promotion.

Almost a third (28.8%) predict finishing between 7th and 12th, while 9.4% plumped for a bottom half finish.

Four fans (1.4%) fear the worst and think Rovers will be relegated.

Rovers have so far signed goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann and striker Andy Williams but fans believe they need to do plenty more business before the transfer window closes.

The majority (50.8%) would like to see 5-8 new faces, 24.1% said 3-5 and 18% thought Rovers need 8-10 new signings.

Fans said the priority position to stengthen was attack (46%), followed by midfield (23.7%), full back (12.9%) and centre half (12.2%).
