Rovers seek win double

SUCCESSIVE home games against modest opposition gives Doncaster Rovers the ideal opportunity to record their first back-to-back League One wins of the season.

But apart from the fact that he is targeting wins over both today's visitors Cheltenham Town and Walsall on Tuesday, Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is, as usual, taking it one game at a time.

"I have not seen Cheltenham live but I've seen a couple of videos of them in action," said the Rovers boss.

"It is the same as it was last year in that they are one of those sides who enjoy being pitted against the bigger clubs and trying to put one over on them.

"They have stood toe to toe with the likes of Swansea and Tranmere and done really well. They'll have a game plan to try and do the same thing here and, knowing John Ward, they'll be be well organised.

"I don't think that they will play an open game, but they will come with a goal threat from long throws from either side so set plays will be a problem for us.

"I think that they will try and hit us on the break."

Doncaster will be without Gordon Greer and Martin Woods who are nursing wrist and hamstring problems respectively.Captain Graeme Lee is sidelined after suffering a knee injury in training and striker Mark McCammon is another absentee.
