Rovers are eaten alive

Doncaster Rovers star James Coppinger pledged to try and put last night's 5-0 cup defeat at Wolves behind them in Saturday's league game at Ipswich.

Speaking after Rovers had crashed to their biggest defeat of the season, the midfielder said: "We are big enough to take the defeat on the chin and will be in Thursday looking forward to the Ipswich game on Saturday.

"If we get a result against them, and against Barnsley on the Tuesday night, then people will forget about this result.

"For me, personally, I am not too disappointed. I think the FA cup is more of a distraction. As I have got older my priority has become the league and Doncaster Rovers' priority is the Championship and I don't think that will change. We had chances early on and at the start of the second half and it was disappointing not to get a goal but you have to give them credit" said Coppinger. It was Wolves' biggest win since 2003.

A Rovers fans forum will be held tonight at the Earl of Doncaster, 7.30pm.
