The Star’s Paul Goodwin analyses the individual performances in Doncaster Rovers’ 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic.
IAN LAWLOR 6
Hardly called upon and could not do anything about the goal.
NIALL MASON 7
Went about his defensive duties at right back in confident fashion and offered more going forward than Garratt did on the left.
JOE WRIGHT 7
Another competent display. Read the game well and mopped things up all afternoon.
ANDY BUTLER 7
Brilliant goal-line clearance to deny Nepomuceno, brilliant goal, not-so-brilliant slip to let in Doyle.
TYLER GARRATT 6
Given a tough time by Obadeyi in the first half. Seems to lack a bit of self-belief.
JORDAN HOUGHTON 6
Neat and tidy on the ball but not as dominant as in recent matches.
BEN WHITEMAN 6
Showed decent composure on the ball and won the ball back on several occasions.
TOMMY ROWE 6
Seemed to operate deeper than normal and was kept relatively quiet - but came up with an excellent delivery for Butler’s goal.
ALFIE BEESTIN 7
Another encouraging performance from the youngster. Showed some deft touches and excellent vision, particularly in the first period.
ALFIE MAY 6
Worked the channels in typically determined fashion. He should have made the keeper work harder when he got clean through in the first half though.
JOHN MARQUIS 8
Excellent display. His hustle and bustle gave Oldham plenty of problems.
LIAM MANDEVILLE 5
For May 69: Struggled to get into it and wasteful in possession.
RODNEY KONGOLO 5
For Whiteman, 77: Had little impact on the game.
MATHIEU BAUDRY 5
For Garratt, 83: Came on in attempt to try and shore things up.
