Paul Dickov says he will not allow anyone to get carried away after Rovers’ biggest win of the season earlier this week.
Rovers steamrollered Crawley in a crushing 5-0 scoreline on Tuesday night.
While they host another of League One’s struggling sides at the Keepmoat this afternoon, Dickov insists there should be no thoughts of swiping aside Yeovil with ease.
“We’re not going to get carried away with the result the other night and we’re not going to start looking too far ahead,” Dickov said.
“It’s easy to do that when you’ve had a very good result. You can start looking a teams and thinking ‘we can pick up points against them.’
“But it never works out like that.
“I saw Crawley get beat convincingly by Chesterfield then go and beat Preston in the space of four days.
“We’ve got to concentrate fully on Yeovil because it’s going to be a tough game and we could easily get tripped up.
“I don’t want anyone to think it’s going to be easy because it won’t be.”
Dickov believes Yeovil will come to the Keepmoat and set up not to get beat.
Such an approach has caused plenty of problems for Rovers on home soil this season and seen them lose a number of games they have dominated.
So Dickov is keen to see his side maintain the ruthless edge they showed earlier this week.
He said: “We really need to carry on from the other night and take that into this game.
“We know Yeovil will come here, be disciplined, tough and difficult to play against.
“So we’ve got to make sure we have the same performance levels as the other night.”
