Loan star Sam Johnstone wants Doncaster Rovers to be feared by their League One rivals.
The Manchester United goalkeeper has only featured in a losing team once since making the switch from Old Trafford - where the Red Devils’ reputation once went before them.
And Johnstone, 21, harbours hopes of Doncaster fostering a fear factor of their own in the third tier.
“You want to be a team that people are scared of,” said Johnstone.
“Everyone here is doing their best. We want to be in the top half of the table and hopefully we can push on over the next few weeks.
“The lads that have played in the Championship before want to get back there, and the younger lads who haven’t want a taste of it.
“Hopefully we can keep this good little run going and be in the mix come January.”
After watching his team create plenty of chances in recent games, Johnstone is convinced that a big win could be lurking just round the corner.
“We’re creating lots of chances, we’ve just been unlucky we haven’t put them away,” he said.
“Sooner or later those chances will become goals. The lads are working hard in training, that’s for sure.”
Rovers have confirmed a new date for Notts County’s league visit to the Keepmoat, postponed in October due to international call-ups: Tuesday, January, 20 (7.45pm).
