Paul Dickov has urged calm over the lack of done deals at Rovers.
Dickov acknowledged the frustration of supporters which has stemmed from deals not yet being signed with out of contract players and new signings.
But he has attempted to play down concerns and insists the deals will be done.
“I completely understand that it’s frustrating for people on the outside,” Dickov told the Star.
“But if it’s any assurance, we’re quite calm about it.
“We’ve got deals in place.
“Anyone at Frickley on Tuesday knows the out of contract players will sign because otherwise they wouldn’t have played.
“And we’re down the road with a few others.
“There’s no mad panic with any of the deals. It just takes time to get it all sorted.”
Tommy Spurr, Neil Sullivan, Paul Quinn, Kyle Bennett, Chris Brown, Paul Keegan and Liam Wakefield all played 45 minutes for Rovers in the friendly at Frickley, despite not yet having signed new deals.
Fellow out of contract players Andy Griffin and Jon Maxted were injured and ill respectively.
Dickov confirmed earlier this week deals has been agreed in principle with Dean Furman and Jean-Yves Mvoto.
And he says the pair are likely to play in the friendly at Retford United on Saturday.
He said: “Dean should definitely get 45 minutes. Jean has been struggling with his back but if he comes through ok he’ll play.”
Harry Forrester, who has been in training with Rovers since last week, is unlikely to play at Retford tomorrow.
Rovers remain in negotiation with Forrester’s former club Brentford over a compensation figure due to the midfielder being under 24.
Like Furman and Mvoto, Forrester has already agreed to sign for Rovers.
