New deals for Rovers loan trio Sam Johnstone, Enda Stevens and Andy Butler will be announced early next week, the Star understands.
Talks have been on-going regarding fresh loan deals for Johnstone and Stevens with Manchester United and Aston Villa respectively.
And centre half Butler looks set to move to the Keepmoat in a permanent transfer from Sheffield United.
Boss Paul Dickov refused to be drawn on how close deals for the trio were but said he was confident all three would remain Rovers players.
“All the signs have been positive,” Dickov said. “We’ll know more on Monday but we’re confident we can keep that group of boys together.”
Dickov confirmed the latest talks with the Blades had been in regards to a permanent transfer for Butler but said Stevens’ immediate future would likely be a loan.
He said: “Without going too far ahead,Andy on a permanent is something we’re talking about at the minute.
“If we can manage to keep Enda until the end of the season it’s more than likely going to be a loan deal.”
Dickov also revealed Luke McCullough has verbally agreed a new two and a half year deal with the club.
