Grant McCann says he has no plans to take a trio of Doncaster Rovers players off the transfer list.
But the new Rovers boss insists they will all be handed the opportunity to change his mind.
Liam Mandeville, Mitchell Lund and Tyler Garratt were all made available for transfer at the end of last season by former boss Darren Ferguson.
We understand the trio have not travelled with the rest of the Rovers squad for the pre-season training camp in La Manga, Spain. They have instead remained at Cantley Park to train with the youth team.
McCann says he will not change their transfer status just yet, but has not ruled out doing so in the coming weeks.
“It is at the minute,” McCann told The Star when asked if the trio remained on the transfer list.
“I’ve just walked into the place and there are other things I need to speak about.
“I spoke to the three boys on my first day. I said it’s a new manager. I wanted to ask them about last year and why they were out.
“But everyone has got a chance now.
“That goes right down to the under 18s. They’ve all got a chance to impress.
“But one thing I am, once I’ve made my decision on people, I’m very, very brutal to go ahead and do it.
“If I need to do that then I’ll do it and I’ll bring players in to strengthen us.
“But I’ll give people a chance.”
