Harry Forrester is eager to get back on the field following a three-game suspension, his boss has revealed.

The attacking midfielder was given his marching orders during the 3-1 defeat to Port Vale following a strong start to his ‘comeback campaign’ after an injury-ravaged 2013-14 season with Rovers.

And the former Brentford ace will be available for selection again today when Oldham Athletic travel to the Keepmoat to face former boss Paul Dickov.

“Harry is champing at the bit to get involved again. He has been outstanding in training this week. As he is most days,” Dickov said.

“He’s a talented boy and a player who can make the difference in games because he’s a match-winner - as we’ve seen already.

The Scotsman went on: “Harry is as a top player and he was hitting right good bit of form until he was unfortunately sent off.

“But it gives us competition for places, the three that have been playing behind either Nathan [Tyson] or Theo [Robinson] have been in outstanding form as well.

“It gives me a good selection problem.

“They’ve all got to fight for their places with a more or less fully-fit squad I’ve got the opportunity to chop and change and keep everybody on their toes, keep everybody hungry and I think you’ll see that in today’s team selection.”
