DONCASTER Rovers were brought back down to earth with a bump in Lancashire as they were well beaten by Burnley.
The home side dominated the match and were well worth their opening goal from the penalty spot by Jay Rodriguez after 37 minutes. Chris McCann had been brought down by Sam Hird and Rodriguez blasted home.
Martin Paterson doubled the Clarets advantage on 84 minutes with a close range header and Hird’s miserable afternoon was completed in injury time as the Rovers defender scored an own goal.
