Have your say

Once again it was a case of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ at Bolton. You can never judge which Rovers team will turn up.

The game started brightly and for the first 20 minutes we held our own.

But the turning point came when we hit the post. If that had gone in things may have been different.

It was a bonus to see Chris Brown return but we hardly created anything, which is worrying.

At least Bolton’s ground was near to a large shopping complex adjacent to the ground. It gave me time to get a few Christmas presents in!

But on the down side their stewards were that strict they would not even let us sell our raffle tickets and calendars in the ground. Bah humbug!

Tomorrow sees the clash of Yorkshire’s top two sides, with the much awaited visit of Leeds United, the former champions of Europe - or so they think!

It should be a good game. We haven’t beaten them since Wembley and they are having a good season, so it’ll be a tough test.

Ross McCormack is in a rich vein of form. It’s a pity we could not have kept him when we had him on loan.

I’m quite surprised the police allowed this fixture to o ahead on Saturday at the same time as a big race meeting at Town Moor.

Parking will be a nightmare so why not make use of the Supporters’ Club coach from Retford – Kettlewells (13.00), Harworth pit gates (13.20) and Rossington Labour Club and Styrupp (13.30). There’s no need to book, just turn up.

Thank you to all who bought and sold tickets, and companies that donated prizes to the Supporters’ Club Christmas raffle. The prize winners are listed on the VSC forum and Rovers’ official site. I will be giving prizes out at Belle Vue bar on Saturday from 1.15 onwards.

If you are stuck for a Christmas present pop into the Belle Vue bar before the game or after, you can buy unique Rovers photos at reasonable prices courtesy of UREDZ.
