Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the Keepmoat.

Almost fluffed a punch in the first half but had very little to do throughout the game and was comfortable dealing with the crosses.
Enjoyed plenty of space pushing forward down the right and covered well when dropping narrow as Shrewsbury attacked. An excellent performance.

Dealt comfortably with what Shrewsbury had to throw at Rovers, heading and clearing with real confidence.
Another strong and solid performance at centre half, heading away bravely with another bloodied nose for his trouble.
A solid, all-round performance on the left, pushing forward well and tracking runners.
Linked up play very well in midfield and produced some excellent passes in the opposition half. Also provided good cover.
Kept things ticking over in midfield superbly with his wonderful passing range and helped keep Rovers high up the pitch.
More tireless running and a real threat on the counterattack throughout.
A quiet night for the veteran who was caught in possession on a few too many occasions and, barring his brilliant ball which led to the first goal, he misplaced a few passes.
A very good performance, both pushing forward on the ball and crafting opportunities but also with strong defensive cover.
A tireless performance in attack, battling with the physical Shrewsbury defence and holding the ball up superbly. Did well for his goal.
Brought on to add legs and help Rovers see out the game which he did comfortably
Helped Rovers keep up their threat through pace but did not have many opportunities on the ball
Came on in stoppage time but fluffed a chance after a good breakaway
