Coulson's ready for Reds action

MICHAEL Coulson has returned to Barnsley from his loan spell and could be on the bench for tonight's clash with Bristol City.

The young striker had a month with non-league Northwich Victoria.

He is immediately in the reckoning for Barnsley manager Simon Davey this evening as Istvan Ferenczi begins an injury lay-off.

The Hungarian could be out for three weeks with an ankle problem.

Miguel Mostto took his place on Saturday against Cardiff.

Davey said that Mostto, Coulson and Kim Christensen are being considered as replacements tonight.

Christensen looks the most likely to line up alongside striker Kayode Odejayi at kick-off.

The other decision Davey must make is who to play at left-back. With Dominik Werling suspended on Saturday, Rob Kozluk returned to the team.

Werling is available again and may well have to settle for a place on the bench.

Bristol include former Barnsley wingers Kevin Betsy and Michael McIndoe.

Davey said he had no special plan to stop either. "We never give anyone a man-to-man marking job . Teams come here and they have us to worry about," he said.

Barnsley are unbeaten at home since the first day of the season and have gone four without defeat.

Bristol's record is event better. They are undefeated in eight.
