Chesterfield were managerless the last time they met Bury.

That game, on 12th December, ended 1-0 to the Shakers and brought about their first win over the Spireites in five outings.

In January 2014, Chesterfield were 4-0 winners over 10 man Bury.

Danny Mayor was shown a straight red card for a lunge on Matty Brown before the break, with Chesterfield already a goal up through Gary Roberts.

Jay O’Shea added the second with a 25-yard effort before Marc Richards struck and Dan Gardner broke away for a debut goal.

In 2011, Bury earn promotion to League One with top scorer Ryan Lowe’s late winner at already promoted Chesterfield.

And going back 21 years, the Spireites overcame Bury at Wembley in the Division Three play-offs.

Two seasons later the two sides met in the FA Cup, on another good day for Chesterfield.
