Spireites boss Dean Saunders says he is not getting carried away after watching his side come from two down to beat Burnley.

The Clarets raced into an early two goal lead before youngster Jake Orrell pulled a goal back on 25 minutes.

Chesterfield then came out strong in the second half with Armand Gnanduillet equalising on 67 minutes, before Byron Harrison completed the comeback a mimute from time.

Saunders said: “Burnley started quick and we sat off them a bit and allowed them to get their game together. We couldn’t get near them for the first 20 minutes.

“We went two goals down, the first was not a very good one to concede, the second was a great finish.

“We then got on top of them and put them under pressure and got back in the game. I thought everyone was outstanding in the second half.

“I wanted to have a look at Jake Orrell, he has trained with us and looks comfortable, has good movement and has got a football brain.

“He took his goal well and that will give him belief. We looked good once we had a physical presence and the ball started to stick up top.

“Morsy was excellent and, for an hour, he was the best player on the pitch.”

But Saunders says he is firmly keeping his feet on the ground with pre-season wins counting for little ahead of the big kick-off on August 8.

“We looked really strong in the second half, we were playing against a Premier League team with some very good players,” added Saunders.

“With the players they have got, I wouldn’t have been suprised if we had been beat by four or five.

“The other night Hull brought on a £10m sub, that would buy our club and all our players.

“The boys have done great, but I didn’t get carried away the other night and I will not be getting carried away after this.

“It is only pre-season and the result really doesn’t matter.”
