Defender Gregor Robertson is hopeful that Chesterfield can turn their season around.

The Scot, who made his first appearance for eight months at Huddersfield, said: “We don’t think we’re a mile off. We just need a bit of luck. A few players in the January window would freshen things up. But we’re definitely still confident we can get out of the position we’re in.”

After recovering from an achilles and toe problems, the ex Millers player commented: “Hopefully I can get a good run of games under my belt and steer clear of injury. I’ve not had much luck with injuries; I want to get out on the pitch and do what I’m paid for.”

After a solid show at the Galpharm, Robertson looks set to continue at Scunthorpe United. Simon Ford (knee) isn’t likely to return, so Robertson and Neal Trotman look likely to reprise their central defensive partnership. Jack Lester (suspended) and Mark Randall (broken hand) are out and loanee Tope Obadeyi has returned to Bolton.
