Spireites boss Paul Cook is in no doubt where his side need to improve.

A lack of goals has seen the side drift from the play-off mix to lower mid-table.

He rued: “It’s glaring where we’re not performing. We need to score more goals.

“We’ve worked ever so hard on the training ground but goals must come from all areas of the team.

“The easiest thing in the world is to point at someone up the top end of the pitch or point to people up there and say they’re not doing it.”

He added: “All good teams have goals from all positions. We’re trying our best to get more men in the box, we’re trying our best to put more crosses in the box, we’re trying our best to be as positive as we can be to win games.

“Certainly on Tuesday night against Cheltenham we didn’t deserve to lose, but that’s football.

“But we need our players to make it happen, not to watch or wait for someone else to do it, thinking you be the one.”
