Martin Allen is ready to give one of his players special dispensation to fly out to Moscow for the World Cup final, so certain is the Town boss that England will feature.
Laurence Maguire has been out in Russia to support older brother and England international Harry.
Whilst the Chesterfield defender will have to report back to the Proact for pre-season, his World Cup adventure isn’t over according to Allen.
“Young Maguire has gone out to Russia to watch his brother play for England, but he’s to come back for pre-season,” said the Town boss.
“He doesn’t know this yet but when England get to the final we’ll give him a special allowance to go and see them win the World Cup – and I really think they will.
“He can go to Moscow, that will be special and I think all of us would wish him well.”
Spireite Laurence, 21, is one of four footballing Maguire siblings.
Eldest brother Joe has just signed for Gainsborough Trinity, having played for Buxton last season, while Harry is at Leicester City and sister Daisy has been on the books of Handsworth Parramore.
Harry, who was spotted in the Proact stands several times last season, has played every minute of England’s World Cup group stage games so far, helping them to wins over Tunisia and Panama.
