Jack Lester wants his side to replicate the performances seen in their last three games when they host Carlisle tomorrow.

The Town boss acknowledges that the Cumbrians – in a purple patch away from home – will provide a very difficult test.

But he believes that the way his men have played in the games against Morecambe, Crawley and Cambridge will start to bring the results the Football League’s bottom side desperately need.

Addressing the immediate concern, tomorrow’s visitors, he said: “They’re a good team.

“Keith Curle took the team in a difficult situation, he’s is building something now, doing well.

“They play quite a fast passing style of football.

“I like them, they have good energy levels, play some intricate football.”

But Lester also likes what he’s seen on the pitch from the Spireites.

“We’re aware of where we are, we need to start winning,” he said.

“We need to make sure the performance levels stay where they are and I think we’ll be fine.

“Then January will come and we’ll get a better balance to the squad and we’ll move on from there.”
