HIBERNIAN manager Pat Fenlon has confirmed that striker Eoin Doyle has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Spireites.

Doyle, aged 25, who played for Paul Cook in Ireland for Sligo Rovers, has at least two more big games left for Hibs, this afternoon at Celtic and next weekend against Falkirk in the Scottish FA Cup semi-final.

The Dubliner played for Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers before joining Sligo in 2009, signed by Cook, and he went on to win three cup finals with the club, scoring 25 goals in 2011. He then moved to Edinburgh.

Recent Chesterfield signings from the Scottish Premier League have included Simon Ford and Peter Leven (Kilmarnock) and Jamie Winter from Aberdeen whilst Doyle’s current Hibs team-mates include former Spireites loan keeper Ben Williams. He’s scored 11 goals in 34 starts and 17 appearances off the bench for the Easter Road club.

Spireites visit Barnet today without injured striker Marc Richards but have Scott Boden following his loan recall from Alfreton Town.

n Sheffield FC want to keep Jack Waddle if he’s released by the Spireites.
