BOSS Paul Cook says his Chesterfield squad is in a good place ahead of this afternoon’s game at the New York Stadium.

Following on from the 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon last week, the manager said: “All clubs are better places when you’re winning. We all accept you cannot win every game but the more you win, the happier the place.

“We’ve been training well as of late, sometimes it’s led to better performances than others but your habits are what you live and die by.”

Cook has been boosted by a couple of pieces of good news this week. Raider Tendayi Darikwa’s hernia problem has been acted on and Marc Richards’ hamstring has been problem free. He commented: “Tendayi’s operation went very well, and Marc’s back in full training.”
