Spireites boss Paul Cook has confirmed he’ll make changes for this afternoon’s trip to lowly Walsall.

He’s indicated that new loan signing from Huddersfield Town, Oscar Gobern plus recent sub Dan Gardner will both start at the Bescot Stadium.

Talisman Gary Roberts, who missed the slender midweek defeat at Colchester United with a recurring hamstring problem, is ‘touch and go’ for the game having trained yesterday, but on the bench is likely to be the place he’ll be.

Gobern and Gardner’s inclusion will mean that two from Sam Morsy, Jimmy Ryan, Jay O’Shea and Ollie Banks will miss out.

Left sided midfielder Sam Clucas, with goals in the last two games, is unlikely to be left out as he looks to continue his run of good form.

Dean Smith’s Saddlers have lost three on the spin but by all accounts they had plenty of play in Tuesday’s 1-0 loss at Crawley Town, but they were wasteful in front of goal.

Former Spireites and Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell will start for the home side though former Proact favourite Dean Holden, now player-coach at Walsall, hasn’t been involved on the park since August.
