NIPPY defender Terrell Forbes has joined the Spireites on a one year deal.

The 30 year old, who started his career with West Ham United, and QPR to promotion before spells at Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic and Yeovil Town has most recently been a regular with Leyton Orient. Manager John Sheridan said: “Terrell can play in a number of defensive positions and I am delighted he is joining us as he is a player I wanted to sign a couple of seasons ago.”

Former Barnsley midfielder Sam Togwell had been mentioned as a possible candidate but it seems as though nothing will materialise on that front.

Ex loanee, the Belgian Franck Moussa, remains the fans’ favourite target.

He’s indicated he wants to remain in England after being released by Leicester City but Chesterfield will have to stretch their wage structure and fight off competition if the midfielder is to return to the B2net Stadium.
